# “Whenever I travel I always research to find beauty in nature, good spots for photography. I was going to be in Vancouver, BC for six months. I saw online a beautiful lake with no name, no location. I was determined to find it. After 4 months searching I found it online. I’m 74 yrs old and very arthritic but I love exploring.
So I drove up the gorgeous Sea to Sky highway for a lovely mountain climb of 3 1/2 hours past epic views of Howe Sound to the town of Squamish, then Whistler, and continuing to Pemberton and beyond. Finally arrived at Lake Joffre. About a 10 minute hike through a nice forest trail and after a turn in the path I was absolutely speechless to see the blue green water backed by BC’s mountain of evergreens, with peaks of snow and glacier rock. I was there and what beauty to behold!!! The inspiring view just took by breath away.”
